The 3 Coolest Cadillacs Ever Built
Since its founding in 1902, Cadillac has become nearly synonymous with unique and luxurious cars. However, there are a few vehicles that stand out from the crowd because of their greatness.
1. 1955 Fleetwood 60 Special
It’s no secret that Elvis Presley loved Cadillacs — he included the name in many of his songs. However, his favorite Cadillac was his pink 1955 Fleetwood 60 Special. This was the second Cadillac Elvis owned, and he bought it to replace his first one that caught fire. The 1955 Fleetwood was originally blue, but Elvis had a neighbor repaint it pink. Today, the original car is on display at a museum in Graceland.
2. 1953 Eldorado
Named after the mythical City of Gold, the Eldorado was one of the most luxurious vehicles Cadillac ever made. When it was first produced in the 1950s, it has all the modern amenities, including automatic heat, power seats, power windows, and a signal seeking radio. Over the years, the Eldorado has had many fans, including President Dwight Eisenhower, who used the first production car for his inaugural parade.
3. 2016 CTS-V
With a 6.2-liter V8 engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission, the fast and powerful CTS-V shows why, even today, Cadillac still knows how to please. This sedan can hit 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and can reach top speeds of 200 mph. Light steering and incredible performance add up to one fun drive.
With a long history like Cadillac, you know there are plenty of cool cars on the road, and the previous three are some of the best.
