While cell phones and related apps are certainly handy, it never hurts to have a paper map with you, tucked away somewhere close by so it can be consulted. Remember, your cell phone and GPS are not perfect, and even the best technology occasionally fails. A good paper map can’t short out or run out of battery life.

Part of good road trip prep is taking into consideration where you’re going and the conditions along the way. Don’t assume that the weather will be perfect the whole way.

The Once Over
Whether it’s a trip to the other side of the Nevada state or the other side of the country, running through your car maintenance checklist before taking your car trip is a good thing to do.
